Following the Sept. 6, 2020, entry deadline, 50 startups will be selected from the pool of applications to join the mentoring and pitching stages of the competition. This initial selection will be led by Creatella Venture Builder and the competition’s founding partners: AWS EdstartEduSpaze, and Blackboard.

The 50 startups chosen for competition will then go through three rounds of competition:

Round One: September 10-20

All 50 startups selected for competition will go through online mentoring calls with regional industry experts, experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and accelerators. You’ll have an opportunity to perfect your pitch in front of seasoned judges and receive one-on-one feedback regarding your startup.

Round Two: September 20-30

All 50 startups will go through the online pitching round. Jury members will be given a one-page summary of your startup, as well as your pitch deck. Please pitch as if the judges don’t know anything about your startup.

There will be two calls of 30 minutes each with one jury member. You will have 10 minutes to pitch and 20 minutes of Q&A and feedback.

The top 10 startups will be chosen to advance to the final round.

Round Three (Final): October 8

Ten startups will pitch online for the final round in front of jury members and an audience attending the AWS Public Sector Summit in Singapore. You will have 5 minutes to pitch and 10 minutes of Q&A.

Grand prize winners will be chosen by the judges in each category.
